This has always been one of my favorite verses. While it may not have anything to do with writing a novel directly, It still inspires us to use our best words when honoring God as Christian writers. Today’s episode is all about editing our works to polish them up like a golden apple.

Jenifer, Jamie and Tina discuss their individual editing processes. While all three of these ladies always end up with a wonderfully clean piece that is a pleasure to read, they all go about it in their own personalized way.

Episode 23: In the Trenches: Publishing Your Novel

Writing your book is hard. It takes dedication and true grit to take a story idea and turn it into an 80,000 word representation of that story. So, before I go any farther, if you have been able to type the words “The End,” then congratulations! If you have yet to finish your novel, then let me encourage you… you can do this! The world needs your story!

After all that hard work, the rest should be easy. Just hit the publish button, right? Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple. Sharing the Gospel Through Your Writing

Hello Christian Indie Writers!  

I just want to say thanks again for allowing us to be a part of your writing journey! I know I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for other great, supportive writing friends! 

When my career transitioned from “I’ll be a writer someday” to “I AM a writer…let’s do this!” I learned that the journey wasn’t exactly what I had expected it would be. One thing I discovered was that the story that had been stirring around in my head for years was far more than just the sweet boy meets girl tale I had originally thought it was. The more I wrote, the more I realized that God had a story to tell as well, a story that I hope will someday enrich the life of a reader, or, better yet, further God’s kingdom.

Episode 1: Writing Groups

This one thing helped me finish my novel

I’ll never forget the drive to the first meeting of my writing group, the Fellowship of Ladies and Accountability in Writing Society, or, as we like to refer to ourselves, FLAWS. A tongue-in-cheek title which truly reflects the quirky personalities of its members, but on that drive, I didn’t know that. I didn’t realize that I was not only going to enjoy these meetings, but I was going to become very close with the women of the group. So close that we would not only share our writing with one another, but our lives as well, the good stuff as well as the difficult stuff.
