You’ve done it!
After countless hours of typing, worrying, plotting, pantsing, and in general suffering for the sake of your art, you have completed a rough draft. Even before you type the words, “The End,” you begin to feel it creep in – the almost irrepressible desire to share what you have created with the world. After all, these are characters and concepts which previously only existed in the world of your imagination, and now you have brought them to life! “Certainly,” you think, “this rough draft is a gift to be shared with the world!”
We at the podcast have been there. Each of us has either witnessed or committed ourselves some sort of faux pas with regard to sharing writing before it is really the right time to do so. Therefore, in this episode, we would like to ask you to “press pause,” and take a moment to thoughtfully consider the ramifications of sharing something as precious and tender as your first draft. And, if and when the time comes when you are ready to do so, we’ve got just the answer to the question, “where is a safe place to do so?”
Tune in this week as we discuss, “Protecting your rough draft.”
